At night on the dash I can see the petrol gauge, clock and speedo perfect, but the temp gauge is barely lit, think it light coming from speedo side. Is there a bulb behind each instrument? How do I remove the clocks to get at it? Thanks

If it is the mark two Berlingo the cover over the dash just pulls off and the dash is held on with one screw. Don't know about the bulbs but I'd imagine they are just pushed into the back of the dash...

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.

Mine just lights the dash lcd display - no lights on any dials or heater controls - in fact the only thing that lights is the headlamp level adjuster!
anyhow, I dismantled the dash and removed the instrument cluster, expecting to find normal bulbs that I could replace. Sadly this wasn't the case as my mk1 appears to have leds to illuminate the instrument cluster.
I guess its possible that you have just one or two blown leds. If my memory is correct they were the surface mount type which 'could' be replaced if you can source the right part and have the ability to de-solder the old ones and replace them....
