I used an aerosol of tyre sealant once, and found that it gummed up the valve in such a way that an auto-shutoff (at the correct pressure) tyre inflator, would not work correctly on that tyre.

Schrader valve replacement cores are about 20p each, no biggie if one gets stuck.
So where does this bit go then ?
