Moved to France and just bought a Berlingo in an attempt to integrate. Wish I could buy something to help with the French Lingo!
Haven't actually got the Berlingo yet but can't wait so I am reading up on-line and already have lots of questions.

Hello and welcome. We have a place in France (near St Junien) and have 2 Citroens in an attempt to integrate, a Picasso (2004) and a Berlingo (2005). They are both great cars in their own way but quite different from each other despite sharing many components.
The French do appreciate Brits with French cars and, on a practical note, there are many more garages able and competent to service and repair them. Snag is the prices are as high as UK.

Like you I struggle with the language, but I get by. The locals say I speak it quite well but they are just being polite. Unlike you we have chosen not to move there but spend about 40% of the year in France. Isn't driving a pleasure? Until you get some ill mannered HGV tailgating you, even when you are doing the limit. (I have a great solution for this - the wife points the camera in a rearward position - they soon drop back!)

We are living in Brittany and yes the roads are brilliant! The change in my driving style since moving here is remarkable. In the UK I wold get caught up in the general rush to get somewhere, even if I was not in a hurry. Here I am much more relaxed and law abiding. I do find that people drive right on your tail, but if you are doing the speed limit then most of them don't want to overtake or even go any faster, they just think that on your tail is a nice place to be! In the Skoda I found that washing my windows a lot made people drop back fairly quickly, wonder if that will work in the Berlingo?
