Garage air

My super duper double barrel footpump broke today after a staggering six months loyal service.
Im looking for a decent quality, perhaps motorised replacement (any suggestions?) but in the interrim went to the nearest forecourt and used theirs.
Ive no faith in the accuracy despite this one being digital with adjustable preset cut off but it was only a quid for 10 mins. (haha, I know, cheap b**w job etc)
Plenty of time left ,I had the spare decked as well and puffed that up a bit ,then went looking for something else to inflate.
Some people can be so ungrateful...
Anyhoo,I got home and checked my work with a proper telescopic pressure guage-the airline was spot on.
Well impressed.
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

They're required by law to keep the gauges accurate as it would be a severe safety
issue if they weren't. They are checked every couple of months, I believe.
Probably the same guy who checks the pumps for accuracy.

The Michelin rapid tyre inflators are very good, but are about £30 at best if you shop around.

I had a michelin compressor type until about 4 months ago when it went BANG. It did well lasting about 8 years in total well worth the 30 quid investment

I bought myself a £4 electric pump from the cash and carry and then ordered a Draper tyre pressure gauge £12 that way i know it will be accurate.

Petrol Pump accuracy checks are made by HMRC Weights and Measures, they wouldn't be interested in the airline as there's no tax involved. Wink
