Front Mud flaps
#1
I noticed my car has had front mud flaps but they have been removed and the securing bolts, screws or plastic plugs whatever was there have not been replaced so I have two holes and the under arch trim is not secured at the bottom. Is it worth getting some flaps or just fit plugs in the holes to stop mud getting in ?
So where does this bit go then ?

Whichever you prefer. The important thing is to secure the wheel arch liner

Sorry I didn't really make it clear but what I mean is are the genuine mudflaps at about £35 worth fitting or are they traps for moisture like some I have seen on older vehicles. I'm looking round for some of the plastic fitting plugs but there are so many different types used it is a bit confusing. Also is there a reputable source for them or should I try my local breakers yard to see if they have any in ? they have some reasonable stuff in sometimes.
So where does this bit go then ?

The mudflaps work well enough, however it's worth getting a hose behind and around them as they can trap muck. I don't think it's any worse than without them on, they just save the lower bodywork a bit.

There's been a couple of mentions on here of fasteners bought I think, from Ebay - try a search

I've decided to order the genuine ones from the dealer for £36, I looked at some after market with Citroen written on them but they don't look as tailored as the originals.

Wouldn't mind seeing a photo of them when you've got them fitted Wink

It will be later in the week, found them for £32.99 at Partsworld down Brimington only about 8 miles from home. Partsworld link
edit to add they will be here this Thursday hopefully so should be able to fit and add pictures soon.
So where does this bit go then ?

Mudflaps fitted, quite solid and good slots in the bottom so they don't collect crud and will wash out easily enough. I found the push pin fasteners for the under wing at my mate's bike shop, they are used on Japanese bike fairings a lot.
