Key fob not working

Hi All....first post so go easy on me....had my Berlingo van for 3 weeks now and previous owner has just turned up with the remote keyfob... Unfortunately it doesn't work.... Changed battery but still no joy.Central locking works fine with the keys but not remotely.Is there something on the van that could have failed or is it more likely the keyfob circuit board .... All ideas welcome,thanks

Try reconfiguring it to the vehicle perhaps. Only a suggestion. Can't remember the process though.

Yeah.... Had a go at that but nothing improved,cheers
