Ingenious ways of starting with a dead battery, can't imagine health and safety approvingBig Grin

Some time ago, like over 40, I had a Hillman Imp Californa.
One day I had flooded engine and consequential flat battery.
I took the plugs out and put them under the cooker grill. Whilst they were heating up I jacked the car up one side and put in second gear.
Hot plugs popped straight into head, ignitition on turned the front wheel by hand three times, it started !

It is on my to do list.

Wouldn't work.
Hillman Imps are rear engine rear wheel drive...............You should know that if you owned the car.........

I still have villiers engined cement mixer and it's gets used now and then 2nd 3d pull she away love to know how many ton's or tonnes of cement or contrete she's mixed over the years got to be a least 40/50 year's old
