As the title says, how accurate is it?
I've been thinking of changing my Berlingo so had a look around at the weekend and found a car I liked with ridiculously low mileage for its age. The price didn't seem too bad until I had a look at Parkers website, and using their premium option so I could changed mileage, etc. the car came up as being £1000 less than the price it's being offered at. Looking at similar cars (same make and model) on ebay and Autotrader, they all appear to be priced far higher than Parkers suggests for their age/mileage.
Similarly the dealer gave me a figure for trading in my Berlingo which I thought was a little low, even though my Berlingo has 136,000 miles. Again checked on Parkers and their trade in figure is £500 higher than I was offered. Another dealer offered a bit more but still a lot short of what Parkers suggests.
Is Parkers Price Guide so inaccurate or have I just not found the right dealer yet?
