I know I'm leaving myself open to ridicule and a general ticking off from Ron but for any of you curious to know what your new fangled hdi's or sluggish 1.9d's will do 0 to 60 in , post here :thumbsup:

I wouldn't dream of ticking you off.My Berlingo surprises a lot of other (better?)car drivers on lift off. My secret is to use 1st only to roll & then into 2nd asap or the wheels spin especially in the wet.
As to 0-60,don't care,it's quick enough for me.
But I AM interested to read the results just so I can brag to my friends.:lol:

If you're talking about mpg, then yes

The 2.0Hdi motor has a fair dollop of torque, but the only time people have been "surprised" by my cars performance is because they're stunned that some guy in a Berlingo family wagon has dared to put his foot down :lol:

I don't know what our 2.0hdi will do 0 to 60 in but I am having trouble getting used to the clutch when pulling away in a hurry. It spins the front wheels in first and second if I forget myself. My wife drives a 1.6hdi Partner van for a local parts firm on Saturday and she did warn me they tend to do this but it still takes me by surprise.

Ok. Done 3 x 0-60mph runs as an experiment for the Forum.
First one was with a stopwatch (not accurate, I know) as a benchmark. 17secs.
Second and third runs were on same stretch of road (both ways) and was 16.0secs each time. Took 830ft to reach 60mph.
Would be interested if anyone else, without breaking the Law (or getting caught breaking the Law) has tried this using the Speedview app. No idea how accurate it is?

Realise this is a pretty pointless and somewhat childish experiment, but if 0 to 60 times are quoted, it's nice to see if we can beat them.
It's a bit like quoted mpg figures, but the opposite way round.
Anyway, not doing it again as a new clutch is expensive! illyme:
