i have modifed my intake from the air mass meter to the egr valve and i did this by removeing the box on it half way along and blocked the hole left and it has made a difference as my induction kit sounds more sports but in the near future i an going to get chrome pipe made for it instead of a bodge job if you know what i mean if you need any picture just say =)

Just got back from doing a bit of shopping.... It certainly wasn't any worse than before, 3rd felt a little more responsive, but I am wary of the psychological effects of changing things...

is it the piece from the air mass meter to the egr ? if so i hae tryed its and it ran ok but it did not leave it like that im geting stainless pipe made for mine and that removes the box half way along under it i have cut it off atm and it sounds more sporty if you have any more questions just ask mate

Im thinking of going down that route andy, but all that has been done so far is opening up the grille to improve airflow - the black plastic piece unclips from the body coloured main grille to allow unrestricted airflow to the original inlet...

I had a little trouble getting the plastic off, didn't want to force it incase it broke but could only get the top to unclip, am I doing something wrong lol?

the box i cut it off and sealed up the hole up with a grommet and silocen sealent just to try it and i thought it sounded better but im going to get stainless pipe as the plastic pipe looks pap i think lol
