Back in the summer one of my Bosch blades started to split.
As a temporary measure I bought a pair from Lidl, very much tongue in cheek.
6 months & 1 MOT later,my report.
No problem with clearing screen, quiet & no signs of deterioration.
Have I been lucky,or have I been overpaying for a brand name?
I don't usually buy "cheap" but this has made me think.

My experiences of Lidl non food items are remarkably good with most items being of good quality and capable of giving good service, naturally there will some items that let down but they seem to be few and far between.
That said I also find many of the Lidl food items to be most gratifying.
Quite apart from Lidl I have found there is much snobbery around which makes people pay though the nose when they don't have to do.
Glad to hear you had a good result Ron.

Geoff.

I buy Lidl and Aldi tools and parts with no qualms about quality. I have had very few problems and when I have they were sorted out quickly and easily in store.
So where does this bit go then ?

Likewise with the snobbery bit ,Aldi are having a cracking time at the moment as people discover that cheaper isnt neccessarily nastier -
just one example
30 yrs ago tesco was in the same boat -scorned by its stack high sell cheap mantra but a few good recessions and the snobs succumbed.
They try to copy Aldi and Lidl with the "discount" range but it just doesnt have the "low rent" charisma of the foreigners shops.
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

How cheap are we talking?
ive just got some from euro car parts and at £9 each thought it was a tad expensive but then if they last 1 or 2 year i can live with that.
however if i can get a year out of something say half the price then thats win win :-)

Living right on the coast (150yds@ hight tide). I have found that whatever quality blades I buy they never last more than 9 months before they harden and don't clear the screen any more. Is this a berlingo thing? as I havn't had a similar problem with other cars before.

I suppose you could always try blades not supplied by Citroen.
Bosch do a range of suitable blades.
