Half car half van
#1
I use my 'lingo multispace mainly as a van (the back seats are always up) but i do love the one piece up and over back door on the car, its just brilliant for sheltering under when 'IT'S SPITTING'.

From what i can see all the vans come with the two piece split doors, are there any van types with the car back door?
Thanks
Ric

Yes, you could spec your LingoPartner with the single piece lifting rear door, I've seen them for sale on eBay.

Example here

One piece back (van) doors are fine if you don't load with a forklift.
No use if you do. Confusedillyme:

The exact reason most have barn doors instead of one-piece.

That's just like my old Renault Extra , the idea being a set of ladders scootch through the roof into the passenger footwell after double folding the passenger seat forward . I presume it makes a roof rack redundant if you only transport ladders once in a blue moon . Aahhh the memories .

Maybe it is for rear downforce.

Its for when your towing a caravan, remember wind slammers that were useless.
