Hello - New Mk3 Owner

Hi. After lurking here for a bit picking up tips, I'm picking up a '59 plate Mk3 tomorrow. We've been looking for a decent family van with some potential for converting for camping use with the kids (using a drive away awning as well - I'm not completely nuts)

These things are bargains, have a bit of character and drive nicely as well. Why do people bother with the more expensive MPVs?

Anyhow, once I start building the camper interior I'll post some pics so you can all have a laugh. It's 50/50 whether it gets built, or I end up in a&e with some kind of DIY stupidity...

Welcome. Have a look at Sakabato's conversion, put a chin strap on before you do!!
