Hi All, Newbie and just got a mk1 van
#1
New to the forum, but it is great database of knoweldge that I think I will be on every evening, as the new mk 1 van, 2000 1.9D an ex British gas van. It is a voyage of discovery with something new to solve daily. A big thank you to verey one in advance. At the moment the temperature guage does not get very hot and the heating is only luke warm, going to replace the thermostat tomorrow as i think it might be stuck open. Does anyone have any advice on draining the coolant and replacing the thermostat and refilling the coolant.

It looks staright forward but the bleeding is confusing me a little. Is it a case of filing the expantion tank with the bleed valve open. then closing and running up to temp, undoing bleed valve a couple to turns of should it be taken off untill all air is out?
