Overdue service
#1
Hello. I am looking for some advice about a Berlingo 1.9D LX 2004 122000 miles, I have just purchased. I have the last 3 years MOTs all with no advisory notes and the stamped service book which was last done in 2006 at 10571 miles. I have no other information or documents to say anything else has been done other than MOTs. Please help as I am not sure what I need to book it in for service wise and I presume a cam belt is needed? Many thanks....J:S

Book it in, take it there, collect it when they're done!

Advise a full service and a cambelt if you're going to keep it any length of time.

If the MOT is due soon ,you might think about getting it all done in one hit
Make sure you give it the once-over beforehand and not get failed/charged for silly things like light bulbs, wipers, tyres etc

Main dealers will charge the thicker end of £500 for all that dependant on what else they can find wrong.

Make sure they sign the service book and keep the receipt for the cambelt change with it.

As your cars' "FSH" status is gone out of the window, it might be worth doing the servicing yourself from now on-these pages will help and you do have the simpler of the engines in front of you...
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top
