How do you adjust the clock time?

Hi all tried to set the clock time to correct time. read the part where you press button and turn it clockwise ect.. Well I tried that and a lot more ways too! still no joy. Its not a big deal just a little annoying. So if anyone can shead light on this I know it will be on here. So any suggestions??

just done mine 2002 berlingo 1.9d with the little lcd panel in the speedo.
turn ignition on . hold in the button in the rev counter till the hours flash, release and repeatedly press button to change hours, release and wait , minutes flash...press button repeatedly to change minutes. release the button when finished.
