Tech advice please

Can anyone tell me what the path is for the 'door open' warning from the door sensor to the display? Meaning, what is it exactly that produces the message on the display? Confusedcratch:

The warning originates, I think, in the BSI unit.
If you have a repeated warning of the door open when it
is closed, check the door latch switch.
If this is then case then you will also not be able to lock the doors
when outside the car, using the remote control.

I dont have a problem with the doors Jeffers, I was just interested in how it was done. I figured it must be some kind of logic circuit, a friend said he wasnt so sure. thanks or the reply. I shall look further into the BSI which at the moment is a mystery to me. Confusedalut:
