Multi space rear central seat belt does not extend

Multi space rear central seat belt ( 60 / 40 split ) does not extend. Don't know if button stop jammed in unit, retractor jammed, or ???
Any suggestions?

Really common fault with a lot of PSA cars. Did it jam while folded down or is it stuck while the seat is upright?

If it's with the seat folded, the easiest solution is to unbolt the seats (easy 10min job) & tip the seat assembly up so that the backrest is in the upright position. You should now be able to pull the seatbelt out again. To prevent recurrence, I wrap the seatbelt around the middle headrest a couple of times so that there is always enough slack in the belt to allow the seats to unfold again.

We just had a problem with the rear centre belt in a Corsa with a similar arrangement. There is a cable connecting the inertia reel mechanism to the catch that locks the seats in place and it loses adjustment causing the belt to jam. Try tilting the seat forward then push it back into place firmly so the button is definitely up otherwise it means dismantling the seat back which is a pain in the arris. Tilt the seats forward and the belt will lock because the catch is undone, it's to stop you using the belt with the seat unsecured.
