Tuning a 1.6hdi 75bnp berlingo
#1
Hi all, I'm after info on upping the power of my 2007 berlingo 1.6 hdi van. It's the 75 bhp version. It's been remapped and I am impressed with the improvement but I started researching as you do.
I believe the turbo on a 75bhp is the same as a 90bhp?
My plan was to decat it but I thought while doing that shall I fit a bigger turbo.
Is the 110bhp turbo a straight bolt on job?
So my thoughts are bigger turbo, decat, remap?
Clutch?
Or just recon the standard turbo and decat then tweak the map more?
I'm after if possible 120 upwards on bhp and more torque.
Thanks for any input.

The twin scroll turbo on the 110, AFAIK, is not able to be swapped
with the original turbo.

I suspect different layout and dimensions.
If it was a straight swap someone here would
more than likely done it!

The Garrett VNT one fits Jeffers.
Not got anything to compare it to the 75/90hp turbo to know how much difference it makes. Still playing with my collection/bits.
Looking into the 115hp remap for the 75 also.

the turbo might not swap over but what about swaping the manifold also?

a fmic might also be a benefit
