Green with envy -it would be ideal for me if you could disconnect either of the axles.
A mk3 would be even gooderer.

The assocaited YT video with a russian geezer testing a VW and a MK3 in the snow looked interesting until the first half hour had passed and he was still "Uhh rabbit rabbit uhh rabbit rabbit uhh"

I suppose the insurance companies would view these as a 'risk'

Now looking forward to the snow falling and my route to work not being cleared.

When this happens, we get red "Road Closed" signs put up by the local highways dept and sometimes a Police car parked alongside. However, these signs are not enforceable and we are not breaking the law to drive past them. They are advisory.

I checked with my insurance company and they told me that I would not be invalidating my cover to continue past these signs.......but, should I have an accident then they would have to consider whether I had put my vehicle and myself at unreasonable risk. If this was the case then my policy would be invalid. Further conversation revealed that they would "consider their position" with regard to unreasonable risk in any unusual or inclement weather, regardless of whether any signs had been placed.

Needless to say, I don't make undue efforts to get to work, or home, any more...
