My mistake then - they look very similar.

I think I'll keep an eye out for a decent set of those. Being C4 I imagine the offset is right as well. Even with the slightly taller tyre profile of my Mk3 they'd look very nice. Thanks for the tip...

keep us informed of the mpg you get out of a set of tyres, after my experience with 17" on my T4 camper , and only getting 4-6k out of a set , I am now very wary of non standard sizes. After 400.00 for 2 sets I went and sold the van. Shame but my pockets arent that deep.

I dont think the MPG would be an issue, minimal , However the price of the tyres probably would.

195/65/15 overall Diameter 24.98" ( 634.49mm ). Circumference 78.47" ( 1993.1mm )

205/50/17 overall Diameter 25.07" ( 636.77mm ). Circumference 78.75" ( 2000.2mm )

Speedometer Difference would be 0.362% too slow. 60mph would be 59.7mph

Hope this helps.

I'd only ever seen that pattern on a C5 before. Here's the ones I always see on C4s:

Did the 26mm offset require spacers or did they go straight on with no issues?

Standard so far

There are other threads on here that advise against going with bigger wheels, but can't see the issue if the overall dimensions stay constant. On the Mk3 the tyres are bigger still - 205/65R15 so according to the wheel calculator sites could happily go up to 225/45R18s without changing overall diameter much or affecting suspension geometry. Ride would be fairly awful though, so will probably stick to 17s - 215/50R17 on those C4 wheels I reckon.

Am I missing something?

(And I'd never seen that style on the C4 either, hence why I got confused - but the 17s are a lot prettier)

205/50/17 unless you want scuffing problems on inner arches. The extra 10mm as you suggest ( 215 ) will cause all sorts of problems, trust me ive tried. ( On a Mk 2 that is, couldnt comment for a Mk3 )

Makes sense given it's a 6.5J wheel, thinking about it. I think the aftermarket stuff I was looking when I worked out the sizes was 7 inch hence the bigger rubber.

All the more reason to track down a set of those.

Did I mention how good the seats look by the way. The effort required to get them to fit doesn't bear thinking about but you must be pleased with the result. That's got to be the poshest looking Berlingo on the road.

I've got 195/40R17 on 7.5 wide wheels. 205/50 would be terribly overgeared from the stock tyre size of 175/65R14
