Winter Tyres @ £74 a corner fitted
#1
In case anyone's interested, just got a set of Kumho KW23s fitted for a little under £300 all in. Thought that was a pretty good deal - via MyTyres.com - I'd suspected they wouldn't actually have any stock, but they did and delivered promptly etc etc.

Looks like it'd go straight up the Matterhorn now... Smile

I got 185 65 15 Michelin alpins fitted last year at £78 a corner, outside my house by event tyres (google em)

Good site thanks. Nothing as cheap in my size: 205 65 15 this year, but cheaper than MyTyres on a lot of other brands. Will bookmark them for summer...

Have just seen those Kumho KW 23 at £47.41 each, with free delivery.
That's £189.64 for 4.
My local tyre fitter charges a fiver a wheel to swop, fit, balance and new valve. Or less if he's in a good mood. Big Grin

Same size? If so that's a cracking deal. You should post a link. They drive very nicely so someone might find that useful...

Strangely the H rating, which is the one I would need, in the 185/65/15 is £6 per tyre more??

£5 for a wheel change is very cheap.

I know it would be at least £10 per tyre local to me.

Why do you need H rated tyres, tucker?
Just done a search for the speed rating for your vehicle and is says T rated.
T is 118mph and H is 130mph.
Your quoted top speed is 106mph.
Mine is 88! Confusedillyme:

So - I did Ok then... I can't get wheels fitted for less than a tenner myself, so was about right. The main point is the Kumhos seemed to get pretty good reviews - most of the other stuff around at that price was obscure brand stuff, and I was looking at nearly £400 for a set of more premium brand tyres. Used to have Vredesteins on a Focus which were good, but couldn't find them reasonably priced...
