Hi guys. I was at a friends garage yesterday and he was doing some work on my 02 plate 2.0hdi forte. We were actually spraying some cleaner into the maniford to try to sort out my egr problems. Seems to have worked BTW.
But when I was there I noticed that there were bubbles in my fuel line after the filter. This filter has just been fitted as part of a service and after the bloke working on my car checked it again yesterday he declared that all seals were intact and that it was threaded correctly and seated fine.
As he is basically doing me freebies other than the cost of parts I didn't want to push him too much further (He has spent a lot of time on my car this week due to the pesky egr valve. )
These bubbles are not present before the fuel filter just after. I don't see any sluggishness from my Berlingo apart from the egr thing which seems to have cleared. Can anyone shed any light on this ? I am willing to give any relatively simple jobs a go on my own and have a trusty haynes manual at the ready. I plan to be doing my own servicing and maintenance from here on in anyway. I am an electrician to trade so have lots of tools and can work with my hands and dont mind getting them dirty haha.
