Hi all, my berlingo van thinks the passenger door is always open hence when I come to lock it, it won't lock. Does anyone know where and what type of switch is on the door?
I thought there might be a magnetic reed switch somewhere. There is no push button like on older cars anyway.
Thanks, Rich

The door switch is part of the latching mechanism, HTH

Thanks, is it easy to get to and replace? (It might just need adjusting hopefully)
I've managed to get it locked for tonight and I'll have a look tomorrow

Well the rain held off a bit today so I had a look at the van. The door card comes off in the usual way breaking half the clips.
The electrical multyplug on the bottom of the catch came off easier than I thought so I sprayed wd40 on it and plugged it back in with a firm click. Now it works and I can't unplug it again. Seems like the monkey in the factory never plugged it in properly.
I thought it might be a bad connection because it started acting up when girlfriend slammed the door. She wasn't angry or anything she's just a twit :-)
Happy nooo year to all x
