Hi Guys a bit embarrassed
at 52 yeas old and been in the motor trade all of my life I have just done an engine change on my sons 1900d DW8 He used it as hoover in a big puddle.:brickwall:
we got an engine from a 206 done 42000 miles very clean stripped all of the ancillaries of it, fitted the pump from the old engine along with flywheel and new clutch, what i did notice was that the flywheel from the 206 had the pick up lugs for the flywheel sensor a couple of cm's round from the berlingo one, I did think that maybe the pick up is mounted differently on a 206, anyway new belt kit water pump etc.
got it running and will not rev well gives grey white smoke like unburnt fuel, so rechecked belt timing all ok, but am now wondering did i do the right thing swopping the flywheel, anyone ever done this engine swap from Peugeot to Citroen, Any suggestions as Japanese imports is my Game so not had much knowledge on these.
Any help gratefully received.
