Hello
#1
I've just arrived here.

I don't have a Berlingo. Reason for joining this forum is that im seriously thinking of getting Multispace. I suppose I'll be doing a bit of head banging until I make up my mind. Im definitely looking for a van derived MPV, i think.

I currently have a 406 saloon.

My gsd is having problems getting in and out of Pug, hence reason for changing car. Its either that or move house. I must go now cos I have a flat to view later today.

Hi There Christine, welcome. How much are you looking to spend?
You could get a very nice one for £4500. Make sure whatever you buy that it has a complete
service history and has obviously been looked after.
As you're coming from a 406 I would tend to avoid 1.9D models.
If you're mainly pottering around locally go with a petrol engine.
However if you do tend to drive long distances a 1.6HDi would suit better.
A lot of ladies find that the cable clutch on earlier diesels to be heavy.
Here's a link to what's available now. I notice there's a wheelchair accessible 1.6 petrol with aircon in Roydon.

Hello. We bought a 1.6HDi and haven't been disappointed. Our other car is a much more powerful BMW diesel, and we don't find the Citroen too lacking by comparison. Both myself and my wife like the high driving position which gives great visibility.

I guess I'm saying it's not really much of a compromise coming from a plusher saloon, and all the extra space is fantastic.
