Oil Changes
#1
How often is the norm of oil changes? I have a 09 16 Diesel. I am new to the Diesel so any advice is welcomed. The car is used everydayConfusedalut:

Well psa recommend every 12000 miles, but if it was my own car, I would go for every 8000, especially if you do short trips. Also using the correct oil is vital with the 1.6 engine Smile

I do both ours every 6 months, on the car it works out about 6000 miles and our Romahome about 4000. It fits with the MOTs because one is Feb and the other is September. I do it as part of the pre MOT service and checkup and I do both vehicles together.

Interval is 12,000miles. I think nowadays you can have it serviced at mileage rather than time, ie not annually if you yearly mileage is below 12k but I do have mine serviced every year which is normally between 9-10k miles. It is important to use correct oil. I always use Citroen dealer workshop which at least(one hopes)ensures correct oil is used & correct change procedure also which is important to get sludge out, apparently.

I do mine every 10K km (filter too). So far I've used only Total Quartz Ineo ECS 5w-30.
