Hello
Proud owner of a 2002 MK1 van, 2.0hdi 800
Had this van for 4 years and have done 55k in the old boy! (now on 113k)
So far being very reliable, never failed to start ( or stop )

I always keep him clean, polish and love him as much as I do my car. People often comment how shiny and nice my van looks, not bad for a 9 year old van!
The only upgrades I've done is 15" steel wheels, a louder horn and a bass box with a 12" sub and amp under the passenger seat, oh and a cd head unit.
The reason for joining the site, sometimes I can hear a slight wine, not sure if it's the gearbox, would it be worthwhile changing the gearbox oil? is there a how to?
Thanks in advance.
Steve

Hi Steve and welcome. I am curious about your horn upgrade. What did you get?? I'm almost embarrassed when I toot my still original horn. Something with authority would be most welcome.

I fitted an air horn
The old one made it sound like a noddy car

Thanks for the warm welcome
The horn, well, it certainly lets people know you are there
I went to halfords to get a new one, looked at a few, then saw the air horns, well, they do say bigger is better
This van had been the most reliable motor I've owned in 20 years of motoring, I've no plans to replace it any time soon, and when I do, it will probably be with another berlingo.
It has a few dints in the back doors and the odd ones down the sides but overall it's not too shabby, I'll try and get some better pictures up, just spent a couple of hours this afternoon giving it a bath.

Mine could probably do with another wash and a good hoover! lol
No one understands when I say if I was to get another car it would be another berlingo, they are great!
How much did the horn cost you?

Only about 16 quid I think, it was 4 years ago!
