Oil in the water
#1
Hello people first post, nice to meet yiz all

I have a 05 bingo have had it since new nearly 200k on her
no major problems till now, checking the coolant yesterday and it would appear that their is quite a bit of oil in the system, not good.First thing that popped into my head was HG failure, but ive come across the oil cooler problem...is it common for this to be the cause?Van does not overheat and does not use any oil....yet

05 reg 1.9 N/A

Cheers

Hi - welcome! Think I'd do a compression test - might show if gasket problem. Petrol or diesel? If petrol maybe take the plugs out to see if one looks different?
No doubt someone with knowledge of oil cooler will be along shortly. :o)
