van roof rails

Yes they are for roof rails.. the rails you have are an integral part of your Modutop....

As for using the plates for securing items to.. rather you than me Wink

Bit confused by that as the roof rails are fitted in the picture, and don't have any other parts to it.

The rails you have are part of the modutop, other rails are available to fit the steel brackets

The manual says they are anchor points, just checked it. Would be interested to see how a rack fits to it though, as can't work it out.

Heres a Berlingo roof rack, its held on with plates slid into the slots then bolted up tight.

Hi opensauce, thanks and I guess that is the answer I was looking for. That the rack/rails slide into the plates which are then used as anchors for the rack fixings, as opposed to them coming off and me finding pre-drilled holes underneath to bolt some sort of anchor pounts to.

The manual shows the modutop anchor points as being on the underside of the rails - it even has a closeup to show the location
