Big yellow lorries full of corrosive pink crap that destroys tarmac and shotblasts the paint from your bonnet when they pass by at warp factor seven.....scotty.
In our county its applied thickly and only on inner city roads, perfectly flat A-roads and the exact cornering line of motorcycles.
You can see them from late September until mid January when they've run out of supplies.
Natuarally they cannot purchase any more because the money has been earmarked to repair last years potholes and to paint and re-roof the council flats which are to be demolished later in the year.
All of which passes by our esteemed leaders while they pursue their public bitching matches.
But other than that, alls fine.
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

Our Council spends cash on wee plastic bins for certain types of waste, and spread that grit / type 1 ( lol) sparcely.
evdama,I just spotted one of those big yellow mobile pebbledash applicators spreading the stuff, so I hope that means better weather ahead..only joking, without those guys out in all weather etc I dread to think what would happen.
