Central locking on a multipack forte
#1
Hello everyone I have recently bought a 2002 multispace 1.9D forte and wondered if there was any way you could upgrade it to central locking? Any help would be appreciated Smile

Buy an after market kit from ebay - we did when our doorlocks went funny. Cost about £25 and quite easy to fit.

I bought something like this once for an old fiesta, was pretty simple to install if you got basic knowledge

It already has central locking doesn't it, have you not got the plip key ? You need to get the code which originally came with it to get one programmed but they are not cheap.
So where does this bit go then ?

That's what I thought. Is there any car after about 1990 which doesn't have central locking? Perhaps a BSI reset is required?

I should think there is plenty of cars after 1990 that dont have central locking, to name a few which i have owned are Ford Fiesta (N reg)
Ford Fiesta(T reg), Citroen AX (P reg), Citroen Saxo (V reg)

The central locking, if your car has it, should also activate when the
driver's door is manually locked/unlocked.

Thanks for the feedback no my model has no central locking at all but the guy I bought it off said you just have to buy one motor to convert it to central locking
