Replacement dashboard bulb
#1
I am trying to replace a blown dashboard bulb and have managed to remove the defective bulb but cannot source a replacement. The bulb is 12V 1.3W and is built into a brown plastic locator that attaches to the rear of the unit with a quarter-turn.
Does anyone know where I can but replacement bulb ( I have tried Halfords and my local auto spares shop but drawn a blank)?

The obvious place would be your nearest Citroen dealer parts dept. Peugeot dealer should also stock them if there is one nearer to you.

Surely the bulb comes out? -bayonet wedge or edison.
More likely a 'BA7'you can get these off t'internet ,from proper car shops,or classic car/bike suppliers.
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

You can either get them in the holder ( the brown bit) or by them loose. I think its called a capless 286 bulb. just pull the bulb out of the holder they are a push fit you wont break it. I can believe halfords aint got a clue but local car shop shocking, go find a new one my local has boxes of them in every size.
Are we there yet????? Huh

Cheers Evdama, I was told that the bulb was not removable but with a little difficulty because it is so small I have removed it and will now try to source the actual bulb. Thanks again for your advice.

Hi Opensauce,
The nearest dealer is miles away which is why I tried to source it locally. Have now been advised that the bulb comes out of the brown plastic retainer and should be available through the internet. Thanks for your advice.

You can also buy them very cheap from Farnells etc.

Note the LED type don't always fit in the factory holder - I've had to sand a few down . My low fuel one is an LED because it's lit so frequently a normal bulb doesn't last (I'm famous for running the tank to fumes).

Hello. I have a blown bulb in multifunction screen. I've seen how to remove the cover etc to get at the bulb but mine is a different shape and I don't want to shove something in the wrong place trying to remove it. My Berlingo is 2011. Can anyone help please?

I've not done this on a B9 so can't offer any direct advice but on the M59 it's quite straightforward. The W5W bulbs are easy enough to find on eBay etc but you need to be fairly careful about the wattage.
Can you send some pictures? Also a forum search on MFD may help with some clues.
