Hi all.

Hi there. I'm a new owner of 1.6 hdi as of today it's a 2006 with 75000 on the clock and a stamped book up to 67000 . Now I have never owned a Citroen of any sort before never mind a berlingo. Must say there a nice small car to drive did around trip of 76 miles in it and it's lite on the fuel! Just found this forum with a google search looks like I have some reading to do!

Hello and welcome Tom. Thats excellent advice from Evdama. Total Quartz INEO 5W/30 ECS oil and a new filter of course. The engine temp at drain down is important too (90'). A check on the oil feed line filter to the turbo (if it's still in place, some people remove them).
All this info is available on the forum. Ol'Jeffers did a good post on this subject as have other members.
Best of luck

Thanks for the welcome. Yes I have the oil to do ASAP. More than likely it will be next week end. Just have to find the right oil first. I know the Total Quartz INEO 5W/30 ECS would be the right one to use but I have never seen it in any of the local shops. May have to go with the Halfords 5-30w.

Yes it's expensive. You can also save a bit and get the correct stuff from Neilsons which is about £30 delivered. Link below:
