Berlingo Forum Meet 2013 - Brooklands
#1
Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in giving a meet a go? I've been to a few of the RX8 owners club ones, and Brooklands raceway seems to be a pretty good place to go for them, and they have had quite a few! If there's enough interest I can research and organise it, hopefully be able to get some berlingo related traders down too!

Don't take this the wrong way but forum meetings are always difficult due to us being spread all over the country. First thing I noticed is you chose a venue near to yourself. How about a meeting at castle Howard, Yorkshire?

Brooklands is way too far for anybody north of nottingham. Plenty of southerners should make it though

Well brooklands is still an hour from me Tongue It's just the only place I know of that does hold these meets.
Could always look into castle combe, or silverstone.

Just a quick heads up - Brooklands is (already) booked upto november on Saturdays!

Few other locations could be Donnington, Mallory Park, or Oulton Park (these are all midlands - so should be most accessible to everyone, not sure if they do car meets but can't be hard to find out and possible twist their arms)

Brooklands have replied, and entry will be £1 off normal price so it'd be £9 for adults, £8 for Senior Citizens & Students, £4.50 for children (providing at least 15 of us show up, which I hope is easily doable). This gives you full access to all exhibits except Concorde which is £2 for kids and £4 for adults. If we wanted to use test hill (drive up it and around part of the old circuit) it's a cost of £270 for us all so we'd have to split that.

Also - I've mailed a few berlingo related companies asking if they'd like to come along and show some stuff - already heard back from Amdro who'd happily come along and show their Boot Jump camper!

I may be interested if its not in the south of England. I think the Midlands would be far enough for me.
Maybe try and work out a date then plan it from there?

I just clicked on brooklands website and said Warning - visiting this web site may harm your computer!

I'll mail around some circuits and find out free dates.
Brooklands website shouldn't be harmful :S Never affected mine at least!

Somewhere in the middle of the motorway network would make sense, then we might all have a chance.

Works fine for me, I live behind the Brooklands banking.

According to a sign in the town, Haltwhistle is the geographic centre of the UK.

Carlisle then would seem fairest.
Kickstart

Only joking!
