adding 12v socket

I am due to get a 2004 Berlingo van 1.9 d in the next week or so and i will be ply lining and fitting a plywood bulkhead. Before i do this i wondered how easy or difficult it would be to fit an extra 12v socket close to the rear doors. I would ideally like to run a new feed from an unused fuse and the socket i am looking at is rated maximum 20 amps, what size cabling would be best and what size fuse ? Do i need 20 amp cable and 20 amp fuse or use lower rated cable and fuse ? hope that makes sense. cheers, stuart.

Hi Stuart, welcome to the forum. If it were to do this i'd probably just run an extra socket directly from the battery and tuck all the cabling away to the point i wanted the socket.
