Controls Query

I'm trying to get to grips with the display & controls on an 09 XTR
I hope someone can help. I used to think I understood cars -then I bought a Bingo.

Question1.
On the central display (Monochrome A type) there is evidence of some kind of trip function with a distance to run and an average mpg figure.
How do I access/control this function?

I have been through the user manual I downloaded from the Citroen web site. But can't find any reference to this function.
I can see it has worked before for the previous owner from what is on the display as i scroll through it.

Question2.
On the end of the head lamp/indicator stalk, the tip is a spring loaded button. What does it do? Over on the wiper stalk it controls the central display. But I can't work out what this button does on the .

If this is the same as the Mk.2 if you hold in the button on the end of the wiper stalk for
something like 5 seconds and it will reset the display.
To scroll through the display's features just push the same button.
I do all this with the engine running.
If this is not quite correct our authority on Mk.3s Taxi will be able to advise!

OJ is on the button:lol: with the wiper stalk- it will reset the display after 5s but other than adjusting time date etc that you have little control over the display .
Mine is the Enterpise 2012 and the display has been changed slightly since my '10 plate .
I have average ,and two trips to scroll through by tapping the button and a reset by holding it down.
The indicator stalk button is not connected to anything on mine -I assume its for cruise control which I dont have fitted (I use my right foot)
