Front Seats

Does anyone know if the front seats from a mk2 Berlingo will fit into the mk1?

I'd reckon so - otherwise it ought be possible to fit the M49 tracks on the M59 bases.

Apparently not. I sold my Mk2 Desire interior to a guy with a Mk1 Berlingo & 3 days later he was on the phone to tell me that the mountings are different.

All Mk2 mounts are horizontal (to the floor) & apparently the Mk1 outer mounts go vertically onto the side where the doors are.

Never got the chance to thoroughly inspect a Mk1 to be certain, but I wouldn't have thought that he'd do the 80mile round trip to return them if it was easily solved.

Had a feeling that you were & wouldn't totally write off the possibility of fitting them. However, the fella that bought them from me was a truck mechanic & would be a pretty poor show on him if it turned out that it would've been easy enough to fit the Mk2 seats into his Mk1.
