anyone know how to turn off eco mode

it gets a tad annoying when you want to listen to the radio while having lunch, then you have to start the engine to get it to go away
Confused

I dont think you can. Im sure someone will say yes you can with diagnostic software.

Its there to protect the battery, so if a turn off will be anywhere, it will be in the ECU somewhere!

i know its to save power but it ends up using more cos you have to start the engine 2 or 3 times just to reset it

How long is it lasting till it goes in econ mode? I think we used to get a good 15-20mins.

I am told that this can be disabled via Peugeot Planet or Citroen Lexia - the manufacturers diagnostics. Some dealers don't like doing it apparently or don't know that it can be done, but it can - at a price. Unless you know someone who has one of the Chinese clone versions....

I wonder what other annoying (at least to some people) features can be disabled via manufacturer's diagnostics.

When I had a Mk 1 Berlingo, it had a feature which really annoyed me. If one had a messy windscreen and pressed the water jet in order to try to clear it, the wipers went on before the screenwash hit the screen, and smeared the mess on the dry windscreen.

Another feature that I found irritating was the way that if one had one's wipers on and engaged reverse gear, the wiper on the back window would go on, and there was no way to stop it.

Mine does that! it's probably the only thing I don't like about my van!
