N00by - An American living in Israel, driving a French car
#1
... surely the world is coming to an end! Not really :-p
That's exactly what an Israeli friend said to me right after I got my first Citroen.

Berlingos are fairly popular here in Israel, other Citroens as well (I've been keeping a ZX going for a coupla years here), but in the USA we've only heard of Renault - and that, just barely.

Hot climate usually in this arid Mediterranean land, and I hear it's normal for Citroen to run a bit warmer than other cars, but with proper attention to the water system and oil, it's really not a big problem.

Just watch out tho - lots of people around here don't bother with proper coolant and just dump dirty tapwater into the rad - tons of dirt builds up inna d pipes - blockage imminent... cooling FAIL.

I'm selling the '92 ZX and picking up my 2004 1.9 Lingo this week, and looking forward to keeping her running well.

Shalom to all my new friends!

You'd do well to get in contact with Zohar ("Lancia 58") on French Car Forum, see if he has any hints about fairly-priced suppliers or good overseas sources to deal with.

Nice! I'll try and reach him, thanks.
