Hi.
Bought myself a haynes manual as I'm not happy with a few things with my 1999 van. While looking through I have noticed I have a lucus pump with a damper on it. I noticed the pre 02 (my model) don't have them. The van works and runs so wondered if its ok and is the a possible difference between the two pumps are. Ie mpg... Etc..
Thank you in advance.

Whatever you do, DO NOT take any information in a Haynes Manual to be
gospel truth. While they're excellent(ish) for run of the mill jobs anything
where several varieties of the same component/assembly exist treat the info
with caution/ a pinch of salt.
If your van runs fine then it's unlikely that it has the wrong injector pump.

Ok thanks. I must admit I searched a lot and noticed few differences with the same year. I thought I had the xud engine, but on further investigation I think I have dw8. I was unsure as my van was a cat c (front end damage) so thought the engine may of been changed.
