The drives wet cold and covered in sawdust so im not scrobbling around under there today to have a peek, but I was just pondering-if a van has ABS will it have (or need) a valve?
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top

In most FWD applications - passenger cars especially - the rear brakes do SFA until you get a good load in the boot and rear seats. I think this is part of the reason people can drive a PSA car with obstructed rear flexi hoses and be unaware of it.

My C15's brakes were so bad the only thing they would stop was your heart-I clipped the valve permanently open but it made only a minor difference.
It is on my to do list.

Load compensator valve is located on the drivers side of the rear subframe, with a spring running to a bracket on the trailing arm just behind the torsion bar mounting. I just bent the bracket round slightly when I lowered mine.
