Am I being stupid?

I can't find how to add details to my profile, like a picture of my 'lingo for my avatar, about me, etc.
Also I can't add my 'lingo to the online garage, after I've filled in all of the details, I click save and it doesn't load any further. After checking to see if my van has been added, I have found that it hasn't.
I apologise if this is in the wrong sub-forum, what am I doing wrong here?

Go to User CP at the top of this page and click it.
Halfway down the next page Click on 'Edit Profile' in
the left hand sidebar. Make your changes and then
scroll down and click on the Update profile button!

Adding or changing avatar:
Go to the left hand side bar and click on the avatar option.
Always remember to use the 'Update Profile' with each change. HTH!
