Yep, bad news indeed. Another Scottish school closes.
It is indeed a famous school which featured in TWO films.
It seems Super-Schools may be the flavour of the month.

Get there quick !!!!! Most of the film was shot in the new (?) town of Cumbernauld.

Bill Forsyth made a few good movies " that sinking feeling " and " comfort & joy " among them. good fun.

Is the big clock still in the shopping centre?

It seems that the clock is relocated to another part of Shopping Centre as the original location was demolished. The workings are no longer on show though- originally the clock was in St Enochs.
I bet they sold lots of cones when that film was shown in the pictures (cinema ) :whistle:
