Unidentified part from under scuttle panel

Hello All,

My Berlingo was leaking water into the passenger footwell. I've since traced it to the heater matrix which I am in the process of changing.

However, when I removed the scuttle panel to take the wiper motor out, there was a loose piece of plastic floating around. I can't really tell where it is supposed to attach. Here is a picture of it. Does anybody know where it belongs? It has a foam strip along two sides so must be supposed to attach to the firewall somewhere.

I think it may be part of the scuttle air intake shrouding. What year is your van?

Mine's an '00 and currently has the scuttle covers off. I can look in a few hours and report back.

OK, found it.

Under the wiper motor mounting plate, foam butted against a scuttle partition to the nearside.
