Hi all,
Just had to change my faulty dashboard in my 2002 2.0 HDI and now my mileage has been set to almost double the original amount.
My question: Is there a way of changing my mileage back to the original amount?
I would like a definitive answer as at the moment my searches have only come up with maybe's.
Many Thanks
Jamie

Yeah, as TC says I seem to remember this particular issue arising a while back.
I'm sure someone will be along to advise, but in the meantime do a few searches
using different related keywords and see what you come up with.

Most back street car dealers will be able to point you in the right direction.

Is mileage correction something the Lexia can do? Would have thought so.

If I remember correctly mileage correction is illegal. If you have a new speedo or different engine fitted it must be declared to DVLA and will be noted on your log book.

How do the places that advertise mileage correction get away with it?

As JohnM says, to correct/alter the mileage is not illegal in itself. It only becomes an offence to represent that the newer/ lower mileage is genuine and thus have someone pay more than they wouls otherwise have done.
Those who "correct" the mileage will say that what their customer does is nothing to do with them..........
