oil leak

hi guys hoping for some help with an oil leak! I have located the oil leak it is coming from behind the oil filter but not the oil filter it is seeping from the part that the oil filter is screwed onto... I have no idea what this part is called so am unable to buy a replacement seal or whatever it is lol help needed... thanks in advance

Hi there, the oil filter is screwed on to the oil cooler from what I can gather, there is a sealing ring between the cooler and the block. Could the oil filter just need a bit of a turn to seal it? Hope this is of some help. Dave

i have tried turning it but it seems tight, and there is no oil leaking from the front it is down the back. it is where the cooler meets the engine. i will look for this seal at a parts place. is it a gasket or an "o"ring type seal. or just a rubber

Hi There, just had a look in the manual and all it says is "sealing ring" so not sure. Dave

cheers dave thanks very much. i will drain oil and water and strip it all down and have a good look and clean it all up, hopefully i can fix it! suppose i can have a good look over the cooler while i have it off

It's going to be either a square section seal or an O-ring.

This is for a DW10 engine. Note there are two different sizes of seals. alut:
