Got my 2009 Berlingo VTR this afternoon & I am very pleased with it.
Whilst checking the Jack/toolkit position, I happened upon a plastic assembly, with wiring attached, lying under the driver seat.

Anyone tell me what it is & where & how it is attached - surely it isn't supposed to lie loose under the seat ?

Might be good to get us a photo to look at! An ID then would beforthcoming.
Is the wiring connected to the vehicle or lying free and disconnected?
The only things that are electrical and under vehicle seats are seat heaters,
pressure sensors for seat belts and electrical connectors for the airbag mechanisms.
If you have no warnings present on the dash it's not likely to be associated with airbags
or seat belts. It may have been discarded under the seat and is part of an accessory
which has been removed. So, you see, the list of possibilities is extensive and why
a photo would be useful!
Of course you could pop to a main dealer....it's possible that they might know what it is!

Just been out in the dark, crawling about under the seat - this is as good as I can get at the moment

I reckon it's supposed to clip under the seat "springs", and it's probably wire feeds for non-connected items like side airbags, seat heaters or adjustment motors.

Is it not for ventilation when you adjust the heater control to the floor?

I tried to fit it into the seat springs, but this would prevent to underseat tray from fitting.
I am going to have a trip too the local "Main Dealer" & see if I can spot the fitting on one of the Blingos there

This is the only wiring under the saet on my mk3

The snap is from the clutch pedal direction pointing out under the seat towards the door
