hi, can some one help please.. I have an 03reg berlingo van 1.9d..
i recently put a new battery on as the rac informed me my old one was dead... but now the van only turns over when it feels like it.... all electrics are there when i turn the key but only turns over now and again... im not hearing any noise which indecates a sticking starter and ive tried hitting it.

Try the BSI reset procedure, you might have upset it if you did the battery swap too quickly

Check the earth leads,batt & engine.

hi, thanks for replies... ive tried the bsi reset and checked all battery connections. still the same. ive got it booked into an auto electricians today.

If I read the post correctly I'm thinking that prior to replacing the battery the engine would turn over ok and since the new battery was fitted it doesn't ?

turns out it was the starter motor...... cant trust the rac then.
