[Engine] fuel filter water pipe problem
#1
berlingo multispace 1.9d dw8 owner

hi, please say someone can help me.

ive had some work done on the cyclinder head and in the process the mechanic ( a friend ) has snapped ( a clean break ) a hard grey plastic pipe fitting that a flex water pipe attaches to. apparantly it was too brittle to be unscrewed from the filter.
im told its a degassing pipe that runs from the back of the fuel filter and onto the radiator.

i have been told its a part that can only be ordered from citroen but after a week of waiting ive just found out that citroen neglected to make me aware the part will not arrive for another 2 weeks.

can the pipe fitting be temporarly fixed or will heat / high pressure prevent that.

thank in advance for any help
also can anyone recommend another place where i can order the part from quicker than citroen online

You could try some solvent weld (the sort they use to join plumbing pipes) or possibly some liquid metal (although if it's epoxy that'll soften with heat). I have tried similar with a Megane (spit) radiator with only moderate success. Certainly wouldn't want to rely on it.
